Liezi Rides on the Wind (Liezi Yu Feng) 列子御風
Leizi was a profound Chinese Daoist Master from circa 5th century BCE. He could put himself into a boundless meditative state, as if he were riding freely on the wind, and travel within heaven and earth with an open and upright mind. This piece is based on this legend yet gives us a nice way to explore our own imagination.
Stephen Dydo 戴德 performed: Prayer to Durga (Qin and accompanying music composed by Stephen Dydo).
Master Yuan Jung-Ping 袁中平 played :
A. Geese settle on the Sandbank (Pingsha Luo Yan) 平沙落雁
B. On a Rock by a Flowing Spring (Shishang Liu Quan) 石上流泉
C. Plum Blossom on the Far Side of the Stream (Li Xi Mei Ling) 鬲西梅令
D. Encountering Sorrow (Li Sao) 離騷 – Memory to Alan Berkowitz
E. Thrice (Parting for) Yangguan (Yang Guan Sandie) 陽關三疊
The CRS has proven to be a comfortable venue.
