3, Master Jung-ping Yuan , Founding president of NYQS, from Taipei introduce the cultural relics and customs such as the spring couplets he wrote, and the jade pendant he wore and its twin, the bronze tally for military dispatch, both in the shape of a Tiger, as well as the archer’s thumb ring made of genuine tiger bone, all important talismans of Good Fortune in the New Tiger Year . Then he performed Xiao Xiang Shui Yun, Misty Clouds over the Xiao and Xiang River on his antique silk string qin Bing Ching, Ice Chime.

My home lies below green cliffs, In a yard full of weeds I never mow. New vines hang down, tangled and coiled; Old stones stand up, lofty and sheer. Mountain fruits – the monkeys grab them; Fish in the pool – caught in white egrets’ beaks. Immortal books, just one or two, I read beneath a tree mumble, mumble
碧澗泉水清，寒山月華白。默知神自明，觀空境逾寂。
Water clear in the jade stream; Moonlight white over Cold Mountain. Through wordless knowing, my spirit shines; I watch the void, and the world becomes calm.
