Yuting Chao

Yuting wanted to learn the qin because she likes Chinese culture. From a Hanfu promotion lecture in 2015, She visited the Taipei Qin Hall and became a student of qin there. Later, she was fortunate to serve at the Taipei Qin Hall, and further learned the qin with Master Yuan Jung ping . Now she is a freelancer and a teaching assistant at the Taipei Qin Hall.

As the time of learning the qin grows, she gradually realize the principle of returning to the basics. It turns out that there are many laws of heaven and earth in the most basic timbre. She hopes that on the road of qin learning, she will have the opportunity to promote it to more people to know the guqin culture together, and move forward with you who are enthusiasts.

Andrea Lioy

I was born and raised in Italy. I started working for a theater company in my teens. My dream was to become a playwright, so I was working odd jobs backstage during the day and writing at night. At some point, a producer liked one of my plays and staged it. It was successful enough for me to be commissioned to write three more. I moved to London in the mid-1990s to pursue further education, getting as far as an MA in Communication Design and an MA in Japanese Cultural Studies. In the academic year 2005-6, I began teaching writing to visual artists and formed a Creative Writing Workshop that is still running today.

I started studying Guqin in mid-2019 — almost three years into it. I can tell you it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life among many bad ones. Next step: learn to make Guqins.

Other relevant data: I love cinnamon donuts. Whoever buys me a cinnamon donut has my heart forever. I occasionally collaborate with a university in China. You can find some notes about my work here: http://www.dlpu.edu.cn/detail/22/8e8cc3633f8e9d4025b776ef221ee13a.html
