We’re excited to announce our upcoming event on Sunday, December 17th! We have the honor of hosting Dr. Luca Pisano, a renowned sinologist and translator from the University of Genoa. He will be presenting his latest work on the translation of the book ‘The Qin Shi’ (琴史) by Zhu Changwen (1041-1098), which was recently published by Coburg, OSTASIEN Verlag, Bibliothek de Tang und Song in 2023.

Dr. Pisano, an Associate Professor at the University of Genoa, began his qin journey in 2003 at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music under the guidance of Dai Xiaolian. His passion for qin music led him to further studies with Master Sou Si-tai in Hong Kong. In addition to his dedication to qin music, Dr. Pisano is deeply engaged in contemporary Sinophone literature from Taiwan and has authored several articles on this intriguing subject.
