2, Founding President, Jung Ping Yuan – talked about and demonstrated on his 4 antique qins: Xuě yè zhōng shēng, “Snowy Night Bells Sound,” made by Zhang Shunxiu during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty; Bīng Qìng, “Frosty Chime,” early Song Dynasty or earlier; Qianlong Nameless Qin; Republic of China Nameless Qin.

Due to personal reasons, Dr. Yang will not be able to participate in this event, therefore we will postpone his talk to a future yaji. In the mean time, Marilyn Wong Gleysteen will introduce this book, then Peiyou Chang will brief discuss the Chapter 2 and 3 (with slides) that Dr. Yang presents in the book. Chapter 2 is about the 11 surviving qin from the Warring States period to the Western Han dynasty. Chapter 3 is about the Song dynasty qin, “Withered Wood, Dragon’s Roar” of Freer Gallery.
